Did She Say Bury?

The following was recorded without anyone's permission, which is why it is accurate.
The lab, late.
Hartman: “Poulet. Say that again. Slowly. With nouns.”
Hunter: “Okay, so — Ruby was on the phone, right? In her office, door open, which for her is basically a press release. And she said — I’m like eighty percent sure she said — she was going to bury something.”
Hartman: “Bury what?”
Hunter: “That is the part where my notes get fuzzy. There was static. Or the Continuum sneezed. Honestly, at this point those are the same thing.”
PCubed: (from the doorway) “Knowing her, it’s a body. Or a time capsule. Or a time capsule containing a body.”
Hartman: “Nobody is burying a body.”
PCubed: “Statistically, someone in this building is always burying a metaphor.”
Hartman: “What. When. Where. In that order — and I want answers, not performance art.”
Hunter: “What if it’s the thing? From the first letter? The one-of-a-kind thing?”
Hartman: “When?”
Hunter: “Soon, I think. She said ‘before the leaves turn.’ Or ‘before the coffee turns.’ It was one of those.”
Hartman: “Where?”
Hunter: “…Somewhere we’d never look. Which, given this team, narrows it down to everywhere.”
PCubed: “I’ll get the shovels.”
Hartman: “You will do no such thing.”
Hunter: “She wouldn’t tell us anyway. She’d just get that look — the calm one —”
Hartman: “The dangerous one.”
Hunter: “— and say, ‘Bring the book, Hunter.’”
Hartman: “The book?”
Hunter: “She says it remembers more than we do. And you know what? She’s not wrong.”
PCubed: “She’s never wrong. It’s infuriating. It’s her entire brand.”
Observation acknowledged.
